Bio
Rezi is an original band made up of 5 talented and versatile musicians. Their intricate compositions and agressive improvisation have led them to become up state New York's premiere jam-based bands. Influences from these musicians range from progressive rock, jazz, fusion, to latin, drum n' bass and classic rock n' roll.
The band consists of bassist/vocalist Ned Brower, guitarist/vocalist Phil Salvaggio, Keyboardist/saxaphonist Jason Press, percussionist Mark Caiola, and drummer Eric Imbrosciano. All 5 members are trained in classical theory, jazz improvisation, and popular song writing. Each brings their own influences and unique ideas which make up their original, versatile and experimental sound. Some influences shared by all include artists like Phish, Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, Herby Hancock, Grant Green, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, moe. the New Deal, Joshua Redmond, The Slip and King Crimson.
The band is largely based around and excels in live performances. While on stage their goal is to capture the audiences attention with elaborate and danceable compositions that will take the listener on a musical journey while keeping them surprized and entertained with every note.
Rezi has recently shared the stage with great bands such as Particle, the Addison Groove Project, Lake Trout, the Jen Hartswick Band, Max Creek, The Big Wu, Moonboot Lover, the Jerry Garcia Band featuring Melvin Seals, Strangefolk, The Breakfast, Raq, the Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssee, the Dave Grippo Funk Band. Their two east coast tours have included various venues in Maine, North Carolina, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC.
